Saw an article in the south carolina game and fish about hog hunting is becoming more popular and id like to give it a try. Is it like deer hunting were you just sit and wait or is it better to get out there and stalk them? Any advice will be appreciated

Welcome to the forum, countryboy! Is it like deer hunting? Not really. In my experience, deer are a lot more sensitive to movement than hogs are where hogs are a lot more nose sensitive. I've been in stands when the wind wasn't right and the deer still came, but the hogs wouldn't have........

You can hunt them from a stand if you like, but to me spot and stalking is more rewarding. I've also hunted them with dogs and that's really exciting!
