Made it out to Lake Erie for the last shoot of the year on the duck's Dec. 20. Just got the deke's set out and the painter suit on and sat down and had a mixed flock of about 20 mallard's and black's cup for my spread, 3 shot's and 2 bird's down so thing's were off to a good start. 5 min's later had 1 lone hen come in and put her down with the 1'st shot then I got sloppy after that. Stayed out for about 2 1/2 hr's seeing lot's of bird's and missing 4 other bird's. Time to yank all the keel's off the deke's and put them on the rack untill next Sept.
