First let me say I'm glad I found this forum. A lot of good info here. I'm trying to find out a little about antelope hunting. I've never done it, but watch it on T.V. quite a bit and it just looks awesome. It's something I've always wanted to do. My question is are there any states that have good public hunting land on which to hunt these critters. I live in N.C. and our public hunting land kinda sucks- it's just overrun with hunters that is. Any info would be great, like cost of out-of-state licenses and any other fees. It's time I started getting serious about going to hunt these 'lopes. Look foward to any info you may have.

Wyoming does but then again I am a bit prejudiced.
The thing to do is research. You can start here. http://gf.state.wy.us/ |

WyoJoe is right on, it's hard to beat the cowboy state when it comes to speedgoat. :thumbsup1:

If you do come out to Wyoming don't forget the new walk in areas in addition to the state and BLM land. Of course, you are going to have to compete with other hunters on all of these but antelope success is really good in Wyoming with a large amount taken on public land.

It's been my experience that just about anywhere you go in Wyoming you're going to find plenty of speed goats. Anywhere from Laramie north to Casper is a good place to start....and that's a lot of territory! :thumbsup1:

Another vote for Wy.. Antelope are a lot of fun to hunt, lots of action & you usually get several opportunities if you hunt hard.
