| I in fact didn't kill any of these rams! Guideing sheep hunters in what I do for a living. Most of the rams I'll post came from an area that was (is) hit hardest by the wolves when our gov tony knowles (dem) stopped land and shoot wolf hunting. The area that was crawling with moose and sheep is now a near wasteland. I'm guiding 400 miles NE in an area that trappers strive to keep wolves in ck. |

waterrat, looks like you do a great job getting your hunters on big rams. Sorry to hear about the area getting hammered by wolves. Hopefully the trappers and hunters will make a big dent in the population this year. Liberal Dems and treehuggers really don't care about wildlife management do they?
Idaho is seeing big chunks of their elk population getting hit hard by these hungry canines, yet the treehuggers have no compassion and really don't care about the elk. It's taken us 100 years of sound management to get our elk herds to the numbers that we had in 1996 but only 12 years for the wolves to put a serious hurt on them. We are hoping soon to have a wolf season in ID, MT & WY but until then our hands are tied.
I have a friend who use to guide around Yakutat, are you very far from there? |

| H iker I'm a ways from Yakatat (Lake Iliamna) and we're watching our moose and caribou being decimated rapidly as well. Alaska is so big and mostly remote trapping wolves is expensive work at best with gas going for 6.75 on this side of the Alaska' range. What was your friend name? |

........AWESOME!!!!
...........I had a feeling your area was more up/out toward Mcgrath.....by the curl shape...but; we primarily hunt only here on the Kenai,harvest..........so, don't really know.
We are also avid trappers.
AWESOME ram!!
-We did catch one up in the Tok MGMT in '06 ( he had a permit..........)
-and I, after years of applying..........finally drew a Delta CU(early season) for this year-
I appreciate your photos!! |

| I knwe Ken F when i ived in Fai and owned the Goldstream General Store-wew had a program a few years back--privately funded to help trappers kill some wolves over by Tok--it was veey successful but then premted by feds etc--New Gov of AK much more in line with AK citizens wishes than old Anc liberal Tony K. a real city--PETA kind of guy. |

Widux,
I saw Ken's son at the expo in Denver a couple months ago. Looks like they are focusing on fishing these days. I bet you miss "the last frontier"? |
