Hello from Germany! Here another harvest report. My friend Det from Swisttal near Bonn, western part of Germany was able to harvest a nice 40 pds fallow calf with his Shenandoah rilfe, cal. 45 percussion.

Kirr do you and your hunting buddies butcher (cut up) the deer yourselfs or pay to have it done? |

Hi ADKBEAR,
we butcher it in most cases ourselves. It belongs to whom it is sold. Selling venision is legal in Germany. If a restaurant will get it, we are not allowed to butcher. They have to get only it field dressed. When we sell to private people we have to butcher it.
Butchering is kind of the german hunter education (takes one year).

Det used a Traditions Shenandoah rifle cal. 45 with REAL bullet.
