| I don't see why they should be protected. If a hunter doesn't take them then nature is going to get them sooner or later. |

| No, they should not be protected. They are genetically inferior and should not be breeding, as they pass on those inferior traits. Bad for the health of the herd. Michigan is one state that protects these inferior animals. This was passed in the legislature on purely emotional grounds with no scientific basis for doing so. |

As a fellow Michigander, I'm with the Old Professor on this one.
There are too many states that protect albino, white or piebald deer. Like the melanistic (all black) deer, they are genetically inferior animals that should be removed from the herd.
Allowing them to survive only helps promote genetically inferior traits. |
