OK, guys - I was born and raised in NB, but have been in Arizona for 6 yrs. Finally got back to hunting. Put in for my first draw this year - all new critters! Elk, sheep, antelope, and mule deer! Woo hooo. Draw odds are sad, but I'm excited anyway.

Yeah, I sure wish we had all those choices up here. I read about all the turkey hunts/ elk hunts/ etc. that are available down there. You are lucky. Do any bass fishing?

Gonna start bass fishing too! Landed in AZ - new job, new wife, new baby - I got sidetracked for awhile. Of course, I fished smallies in NB, but largemouths will be new to me. LOTS of good bass fishing here. I work with Arizona Outdoorsman magazine, so am making full use of all my new connections

I've fished smallies and stripers in NS but the thought of big mouth bass fishing is awesome. Pike is high on my list for new fish to catch as well.

They have all kinds of fish here. I have also heard that AZ has more boats, per capita, than any other state - go figure. Most of the lakes are man-made, and they have lots of different species stocked, or naturalized - including arctic char, pike, stripers, walleyes, largemouth and smallmouth, trout, crappie, catfish..on and on and on...

Chester - I'm the Asst Editor with Arizona Outdoorsman magazine. I'd be happy to throw a couple of issues in the mail to you...

That would be great. I can drool over what I would be doing if I lived there. I have friends who winter in Arizona and have invited me to stay there. After seeing the mag. I will probably take them up on it for sure! Check your private messages for my address.

Well - went 0 for 4 on my first AZ draw. Not the way I had hoped for it to turn out, but oh well. You guys wouldn't believe the hype here - hunters acting like kids, waiting for the draw lol. Admittedly, I've been pretty excited too. Kinda like having the results for 4 separate moose draws announced, at the same time.
