i can hit an 8 inch group at 90- yards.... if one was not moving i would try a shot... any closer and it would be a deff.

I've hunted coyotes with my bow and only got one. If you use very small broadheads there is very little fur damage. Getting them in close enough is not the problem, its drawing without them seeing and string jump. I've shot at a few that were broadside between 20 and 50 yards and all of them jumped clear of the arrow at the sound of the shot. They are very fast. Its really fun, give it a try. set your rifle beside you for backup.

I've never set out hunt a predator with a bow, I have had several close encounters with bobcats and coyotes while deer hunting. In a couple instances I've been able to draw on both.

Same here. Have drawn on Coyote several times at 20 to 50 yards while out on foot for deer. They've been just too quick for me, plus I've missed once and hit under one. Sure made him jump........
I've also had a couple pass under me while in a tree stand, but let them pass.

bow huntin dogs is tough. they are quick as hell. I have takin shots at a couple while elk huntin and they duck or dodge my arrow everytime. If you could overt there attention elsewhere with a electronic call you might have a better chance. GOOD LUCK
