Did some more reading in the new book we just got........3 deer limit down from 4.......2 bucks and 1 doe........what a crock! Archery season shortened by 15 days.....
Just waiting to see what happens to duck season......

Why are they cutting the season back and the deer take per hunter?
Maybe it is an effort to increase the average age of the harvested buck so there are more mature bucks running around....
I realize you all probably have a lot more whitetail than we have mule deer and whitetail combined; however standard practice around here is just one deer per hunter (if even that, because draw limits, etc).
Although, you can take a bull and cow elk this year. |

Not sure why they changed it. We already have a point restriction statewide. Most places it's 3 points on one side and some places it 4 on one side.

| I only know there is alot less deer around than there was 15-20 years ago. The introduction of 4 wheeler put alot more hunters in the woods, and in the wilderness areas too. There seems to be more coyotes now adays. The human population has tripled in my area in the last 10 years, what use to be livestock pastures and hay fields is one house after another. Our world is changing (I hear myself saying that alot lately). We have too do what it takes to manage our deer herd, or we will be lucky find 1 deer to kill |
