Welcome Danzigg :D
I'm not familiar with Miami Co., but if you have access to 80 ac. and have seen deer there in the past, I would say it is worth it :thumbsup1: You are real close to Unit 19 which has a lot of deer so I would think there are plenty in your area also.

thanks!!! We have one stand . there's me and my 2 teenage sons .one will go up in the stand . And i was going to sit in a blind with the other one. Do think that is a good way to do it.

I have a friend that use to do the same thing with his kids when they were younger. He would be on stand and the sons would be in the blind just below him. He said it worked great for introducing his kids to deer hunting.
Sounds like it should work just fine. Just be careful of the wind! What kind of terrain do you have to work with? Timber, creeks, crop fields, pastures.......?

I hunt in Miami Co. off of 255th St. Seen deer in the area for the last two years with two nice bucks on this farm (1000 + acres) this year. How old is the oldest boy? Just curious since you said you were going to put one of them in the tree. Good luck and be safe!

Suggestion, if he has never been up in a tree before and secure himself to a tree before, try to practice this at a lower level, say just 5 feet off of the ground at home. Also ensure he knows what direction he can shoot in with you on the ground in a blind. I know those boys of yours will have a wonderful time in the woods with DAD. Enjoy and good luck!

Here are two pics of the monster I knew the farm had to have but never have seen before. Appears this ole boy is nocturnal and now I have to figure out where he is bedding down and get in close I guess.
