Scouted an area with a freind yesterday that I hadn't hunted in years. A lot of good deer sign, which was nice to see. The one thing that got me though were the coyote tracks. They were everywhere!!!!!! The place is infested. One observation I made was I did not flush one bird. This tract of land use to produce a pretty fair population. I wonder if the coyotes ate them? Anyway, I'm going out Friday to try my luck before the deer season opens.

I just realized yesterday that I need to get a good pair of boots for hunting this winter. I won't be able to shoot any coyotes if I can't stand the cold.

Yes, a nice pair of boots might be a good idea. Sucks to be cold out there hunting.
