Where can one find information on the SCI and BC scoring system? I would like to see how both are done. Any suggestions?

Heh heh. Apparently I'm on everyone's "pay no mind" list. Thanks.

Maybe no one knows ...
You might try a search on google or other search engine and see what you find.
Dig around on the B&C site, they should have info:
http://www.boone-crockett.org/
I also found this on the Safari Club site:
http://www.safariclub.org/trophy/trophy.htm
Looks like forms to download for score sheets. I didn't review any of the PDF files, but it does look like they have an extensive list.
Good Luck!

Great! Are you trying to score something in particular?
In digging around on the B&C site I did find the link to their scoring forms as well:

I wanted to score all my bucks. No big racks, but I thought it would be good practice for when I do nail a "wall-hanger".

Good idea... I was always curious about how they figured the scoring as well, I found it interesting.

I am not 100% on the SCI scores or the BC and PY scores, but I am an official scorer for the Trophy Game Records of the World. Its a system that has been around since 1978 and is founded by member of the Exotic Wildlife Association. You do not have to be a member of it to enter. Measurements are done in centimeters instead of inches, and there are no deductions for lack of symetery. This system honors the animal for the trophy it has produced. We measure everything from Whitetails to a wild boar's tusks, to a Scimitar Oryx horns. Animals are put into divisions in the method that they are taken.
There is even a category we call Incidental Acquisition which in such a case you find a dead whitetail in a creekbed. Well that animal can still be honored as such and entered into the book. Measurements are taken, the name of the place where is found is recorded, the person the discovered it. We also have divisions for Archery, Crossbow, Modern Rifle, Muzzleloader, and Handgun. Instead of a Non-Typical deer, we refer to it as Extra Typical.
