Man I'v been looking forward to this day scince last december. It's my favorite time of the year. The only problem I have is my wife just came off maternaty and started work today and dosent get off work till 5:30 pm so it leaves me with not much timme till it gets dark. Ohwell I will get out for as long as i can.
My wife is not looking forward to being a hunting widow for 2 1/2 months. I think she is getting off easy I get home with the kids at 4:00 and I will have them fed and bathed before she gets home, Sucks to be her

I was out last night in the stand , no wind lots of dry leaves, I thought I heard the sound of antlers coming through a thicket taping and scraping off the branches. Sometimes you hear what you want to hear but it shure sounded that way.
Only saw bluejays and squirels, mabe Saterday morning.

I went out Saterday afternoon and as I was walking to the stan I jumped up a big doe. Now If I had been still hunting to my stand I probably would have been able to walk rright up to it.
At the begining of the seasion we are only hunting bucks so I would have let the doe go anyway. Last year we would have taken it but with the increase of the seasion from Oct 1 to Dec 15 with bow we have oped out to hunting bucks only till after riffle after that anything goes.
