Hi,
I just got drawn for a Bull Moose hunt in Unit 20-4 (Southern Portion of Unit 20) :thumbsup1: and would like to hear from anyone who has hunted this area before (elk, deer, bear, grouse, or ??) Any input you could give me regarding previous moose sightings, what eleveation I should start looking, drainages, ridges, or ?? would be greatly appreciated. If you are going to be up there this year (2008) maybe you could keep your eyes open for me, and pass on sightings if we happen to run into each other. This is a once-in-a-lifetime hunt, so I am trying to get any information I can about the area. I am planning on hunting archery from mid September thru mid October if needed. Just FYI, I have no interest in coming back to your elk, deer, or bear hunting spot (I only have a Moose Tag) this year or any other time. My elk spot that I have been going to for the last 15 years is awesome and far away from your area.

Call the Idaho Dept of Fish and Game in Lewiston, ID @ 208-799-5010, ask for Jay Crenshaw. He can get you started and will be very helpful. I hunted this area after the fires last season and did not see any moose. I was there most of the six weeks off and on.
