If your looking to buy a pair now's a good time to look. Some decent ones out there on closeout for $80. Check EMS, LL Bean, Sierra Trading Post, Campmor, places like that. Google is your friend and there are deals to be had. I almost bought another pair but I already own (4) pairs.

It sounds like you need to sell a pair real cheap to clear out some space in the garage. :D

Well, I need to leave two pair in CO so I don't have schlep them back and forth every year. One set for me and one set for first time guests who don't own a pair. I'll leave the yard sale pair out there for that. Then I need a set for here in NH. The fourth set are pretty much for decoration. They're the old wood type with the leather bindings. After you use the newer designs of shoes it'd be hard to go back to the wood ones. The new bidings are so much easier to use. So yeah, I guess I could use a few more pair.

Well I am an elk hunter that has been hunting elk in unit 49 for many years and with personla expierience it will take over 5 years for sure for you to get a bull tag because I am a resident and I have over 3 preference points. If u are looking to hunt deer than you will have several unit choices u will be appliying for and it will take u around 2-3 years to draw a tag for that becuase it takes me as a resident 1 point usually.

By looking at the backend method people have figured out it looks like I got a cow tag, but didn't draw a mule deer tag. I had put in with the leftover draw option instead of the instant refund. Can anyone explain exactly how that works?
I think they just send me an application then I can apply for any units I might want to draw a license in that have leftover tags. If I'm unsuccessful in that or there are not units I want to apply for I assume I just get my normal refund. One other thing if there are leftover bull tags in the area we have the cow tags in can I apply for those even though it was a mule deer tag I was originally unsuccessful on?

Mr.Krabs, what unit and what season are you hunting? There are alot of units in the 2nd and 3rd season that you can buy a bull tag over the counterl ook in your application booklet and see if the unit your hunting complies with one of the over the counter units.

The unit we're hunting in doesn't have OTC bull tags. There are some units within 20-30 miles that have them, but need to stay closer since I have a cow tag.

MrKrabs, If I remember right you'll get the first crack at leftovers for both deer & elk. If I were you, would call CDOW and have them explain it to you. Their phone number is (303) 297-1192
