While up grousen' outside of Sultan last evening, and saw a totaly of five blacktails in about an hours time! Just seemed like they didn't have a care in the world. ::neener:
I saw one doe in a field from my jeep, made a few mew's from a rubberband call, and she started towards me and my idling jeep. Coulda dropped her with a slingshot.

The area I've been going is pretty popular, but everybody seems to be heading out of the hills right before there's really good movement. Guess they don't want to miss Survivor on the TV. Or their scared of the dark...

Anybody else out there seeing bunches of blacktails?

I saw probably the biggest 4 point ive ever seen this morning, standing next to the road. I turned around drove back and he was still there, Sat and watched him for 10 minutes just hangin out. Then within the last week Ive seen about 20 or thirty out scouting(bear hunting) and for the most part havent seen that many hunters, only 2 or three arrow flingers

Yeah, every one I've seen was grouse hunting. I don't know how the weekend has been, pressure wise. Low to medium during the week.

Seen a lot of good shooters over all, but no real big scale tippers.

I've got two 'washout' spots that I think may prove to be honey holes.

Everytime I scout up them, there are webs a thick as can be across them. Tough going, a few REALLY deep washouts (20' deep, 20yds across), but no pressure and lotsa food.

But that is scouting, and sometimes I find the areas I think might be void of hunters is a sea of orange on opening day.
:](*,)
Just have to wait and see.

I think someone on this board has used the term pumkin patch, last year I had a clear cut picked out walked in 2 miles and never saw a soul, opening day I saw about 30 guys all over the place, when I finally talked to one he told me that someone had opened the gate on the back side. needless to say I found another spot
