I've seen a lot of different ways to skin a moose: pulling it off with a winch, skinning with a knife but hitting it off with a sledgehammer is the easiest & fastest.
Got any tips...post them here

Well I guess whatever works!
I have not skinned a moose, but have skinned elk. It usually helps if the carcass is still warm and your able to hang it from the hind quarters. Then you can peel the hide back toward the floor, using the weight of your body to pull down.
Welcome!
Where do you hunt moose, Littman?

I usually go to Sweden every year. My grandfather has a farm there. He needs someone to help him pull them out.....PC

| I learned on my first moose hunt to try NOT to shoot the animal standing in water up to it's knees. Skinning is a tuff job, let alone in over 20 inches of water. One needs to have at least 2 very sharpe skinning knives and a set of crock sticks or a diamond sharpener helps a bunch. |
