| Depending on your states regs you might be able to start before season but you have to call your state dnr and ask if your allowed if not start as soon as you can. :thumbsup1: |

| caper40 wrote: just wondering when is it too early to start baiting with apples and mollasses .....What are you hunting ?if your going for white tail i would forget the mollasses unless you want bear as well also i wouldn't start more than 10 days with the apples try to be at least a mile away from nearest apple trees ,if there are deer in the area that should give them plenty of time to locate your site ,i've had deer hit the same day i put them out and once they hit you will have to start hauling ! best of luck :thumbsup1: |

I would say the best time to start baiting is about a week before the season. Just my thoughts. |

| Hey trap the bears will hit apple piles just as much if your baiting and have bears around you can guarentee they'll make an apperence. |
