Generally, everyone, including me, seems to be excited about the upcoming deer season. But as cold weather comes it brings think furs on coyotes and with that comes the anticipation of calling in a few this year.

I think coyote hunting is some of the most exciting action one can have hunting.

Last year was the first time for me to coyote hunt and it bit me hard. It is exciting to call and have a yote try to sneak up and "eat" you.

My hunting buddy just got his pelts back and they look good.

Where did he take them and what did it cost?

What type/caliber rifle are you building?

Where do you hunt?

I'm definately taking extra time for coyote this winter to kill off the cabin fever months. I bought a call for this year. Will be my first year calling, besides jack rabbit calls.

i am putting together a .243

i found a used savage 110 in .243 very reasonable...
used w/ a 20 round count! in great condition.

not sure what i am going to do about the stock yet, typical savage rubbermaid.
i replaced the orig rubbermaid/tupperware stock ...
w/ one from a savage 110fp...bull bbl
this provided free floating, but does not look so hot...
still working on this.

scope i purchased a nikon monarch, 2.5-10x42 w/mil dot reticle

should provide excellent light gathering as well as low enough magnification for those typical upclose and personal shots, as well as plenty for any extended ranges i would be comfortable squeezing one off at.

i hunt in PA...

looking forward to it!
