I was lucky enough to be drawn for a moose tag this year and was wondering
what other hunters use for a weapon, tactics, zones hunted etc. I bought a Savage 300 WSM with the Accutrigger and hopefully try it in a few weeks. We hunt in zone 21 and use calling as our main tactic, nothing more exiting! |

| Your weapon of choice should be bang on. I call to locate them and also use power lines and choppings around marshy areas to locate them. Good luck on the hunt. :thumbsup1: |

| My main two tactics are stand hunting and calling and bush crashing marshes, gulleys, ravines and valleys there are amazing valleys around here that the moose take shelter in. As a matter of fact I was scouting an amazing area two days ago. Heres some pics I wanted to share with you guys hope you like em this is what Ill be hunting for moose in about 5 days |

I use old betsy 30/06 180 grain tatics are mainly calling and tree stand hunt mainly bogs ,they should be good and dry this year makes for easy traveling also use light plane and try and spot a few days prior to hunt ! good luck with your hunt |

| Yea I noticed the same thing this year. Lots of marshes that usually have water but this year have none easy to get around for sure. I seen another one yesterday nice bull about 2 years old he wanted nothing to do with me though when I got out of my truck and called he seemed interested at first then when he seen me comming up the hill he was gone like the wind. Great sight to see exspecially with all the shooting, lots of bird hunters around here. |
