I came across a spot this morning that I would estimate has 5 or so bulls wallowing in the mud pretty regularly. I realize that while most animals can be patterned to an extent, there are no absolutes. Anyway, I've never hunted a wallow before. Are there any usual times of day that an elk might wallow in the mud?
