Caught this bad boy out of Valdez on 6# test and a pixie. Took me four and a half days to get him to the boat. What a monster! I had to club him twice because he kept flopping out of the net. That pretty much made the livewell a moot point, so we just put him on a stringer and towed him behind the boat. It took four of us to lift him onto the scale when we got to the dock, where he measured 42 feet, 7 inches and weighed a little over 74,000 lbs. Wouldn't you know it, but somebody else came in with one that was four inches longer and 872 pounds heavier -- so there goes my derby winnings. My wife's ticked because we had to throw out last year's sweet corn to fit it in the freezer. I figure I'll get it mounted once I get the garage expansion finished. It ought to look great above the workbench.

| HAHAH yea I bet it would look nice above the work bench nice mammal though. 6# test wouldnt even last for the little fish swimming with that bad boy. |
