|
Hello,
I am currently deployed to Afghanistan with the Air Force in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
My brother and I are looking at a September Sitka Blacktail hunt on Prince of Wales Island upon my return. Looking at the 2nd week. We are both avid hunters but have never hunted blacktails. We will be staying at a lodge and hunting out from there daily. (Need a little luxury after THIS deployment)
Any recommendations on tactics for this time of year? Will it be better to hit the beaches or the high country?
Any other tips from the black tail pros?
Also, what are the black bear hides like in Sep?
Thanks in advance! |

| early in the year like that the bigger bucks will be high, the bear hides should just be growing out but in my opinion are just as pretty as a spring hide just different.. |
