Atomikall, I wish you luck on your hunt!! I just returned from my fly-in hunt in Northwestern Ontario, north of Pickle Lake. As far as I could tell, there are NO MOOSE in NW Ontario!! We did not see or hear a single moose during the entire week of hunting.!! There was so much float plane traffic, it seemed like we were on the end of an airport runway. The boats were junk, the motors were junk and the camp site was so uneven that all of us twisted knees and ankles trying to walk around inside the shelter. The cots were cheap and not up to the uneven ground and two broke and a third bent badly. Only the fishing was good but we were paying to hunt moose, not to fish. We all feel that we were ripped off by the Outfitter and that his web site information is a pack of lies. In the past three years, I have spent close to ten thousand dollars on Ontario moose hunts with nothing to show for my time and money.
I know there are honest Outfitters in Ontario but my experiences have all involved crooks and rip-off artists!! I am so disgusted with my experiences that I am cancelling a booked deer hunt in Ontario for next year. I doubt that I will ever book another hunt in Ontario!

I bet I can change your mind. If you would like I will give you a bunch of very good places to hunt moose, deer and blackbears.
They are reputable and very nice accomadations, Ive seen them all and been to every one give it one more chance sir you will change your mind you must just be picking the wrong places. I could have set you up with an amazing place to moose hunt this year theres already been 9 bulls and one cow taken with archery and the rifle season just opened today. I was out all day from 5 till now and guess what I never seen a damn thing sometimes you see em and sometimes you dont. I covered over 600 kms with my truck today and probably another 100 on foot. But with all the work I found a great place fresh tacks and scat all over and the maples and tags are eaten right up so ill be leaving in the morning around 6 to try again. Trust me thier is one outfitter in mind I think you would love private cabins(with real beds) and lots of moose. In the heart of the boreal, Im not saying kenora isnt a good place to hunt but I think its a little better here. If you want the list just send me a Pm. They are all great And the boats are all new. You should have looked at hunts in Northeastern Ontario you would have been pleased. If you dont mind me asking professor what lodge did you use.

Atomikall, Yes, I would appreciate any references that you could give me. I can not afford to go again this year but next year is a possibility.
I would rather not name the outfitter that I used this year, as they did refund part of the fly-in cost but they operate out of Savant Lake. You can E-mail me at : rcstinson40@charter.net
