I'm looking to hunt archery pronghorn in Kansas for fall 2007. does anybody know of any areas that are holding the speedy little goats? i've done a lot of research, and have narrowed my search down to a few counties that have decent numbers, a fair trophy record and plenty of public land.
but if anybody has any tips, like animals they might have seen in the past or something, i'd appreciate the info. i'm new to Kansas, so i havn't been able to find much of anything for myself yet. |

| I have targeted antelope this year for the first time. My research indicates a good herd in Morton county, in extreme S.W. Kansas. I am planning a trip there in mid-october, but if you can do it, they say the rut is in mid-september. Practice your long distances! |

the division of wildlife biologist tells me that my best chances for archery gear, is to hunt september near a cattle water trough.
he says the best numbers are on the mid colorado border.
i'm gonna take a drive out there at the end of october, with my girlfriend. we'll do as much glassing as we can, then i'll try to see how to get in front of them.
it'll be interesting to say the least. |
