| just wanted to know how to score a elk i never really want to score anything before never thought there was point i have never hunted for the antlers |

| well i dont know if its right but i came up with 383.25 then i took the 8 1/4 off came up with 375 so I guess that it would Be 375 LOL is that a good score??? |

| That seems high. That bull has great browtines but the forth & fifth points are too short to score that high. Did you recheck your numbers and measuremnets? How long was his main beams? |

main beem on right is 41in first point is 19in sec is 16in next is 11 1/2in then 11 3/4in then 6 1/2in
circumference F/s point 6 1/2in S/T point is 6in T /F point is 6 1/4 in F/f point is 5 1/2 in
left is 40in first point 19 3/4in the second is 17in next is14 1/2in then 12 1/2in last point is 6in
Circumference between F/S point is 6 3/4 S/T 5 3/4 T/F 5 3/4 F/f 5/ 1/4
tip to tip is 36in inside is 32 1/2in Gspread is 39in
and 6 points on both side LOL think i did it right well try again |

BUDZRUZ, I'm almost there. What is the length of the 6th point on both sides?
It the circumferences the same on both antlers? |

It is part of the main beam but they still score it alone. I calculated the circumference as the same on both sides, so I didn't figure in any deductions. I guessed 7" per side for the 6th point. If that is the case, I received a total score of 315 4/8 Gross and 308 4/8 Net.
One reason, you could have came up different is you'll need to calculate the inches as 8ths. So a half will be 4/8, 3/4 would be 6/8...etc. I hope that helps. |
