| I have always had labs in the past so after my last yellowmale died I decicded to try something new. I was wondering if anyone here has one and how was it as far as ease of training and quality of the field work? |

Welcome to the site.
I've never even seen one. I don't think they are all that common. What makes you think of a Munsterlander? What birds do you hunt most? |

| I hunt both upland and waterfowl and after some research this breed popped up a few times. These dogs are a breed that naturally points and retreives by instinct. They will hunt upland or plunge into icy water and retrieve your waterfowl also.I am getting my pup from Jeff Raymond a breeder in Baker City Ore.These charicteristics should come in handy in Hells Canyon. |

I have trained several over the years. As far as the ease of the training, that is pretty much like any breed. There are easy and difficult. If you want to compare the ease of training to a lab they are not in the ball park. Compared to an english pointer they are easy. Some break out very quick. I would really do my home work if you are going to purchase one. Make sure the parents have a ton of point in them. They are ok in the water but they are not going to break ice like a lab or chessie.
Good Luck |

| I know JR, my memory is already shot! :D Did you go up toward Mountain House for those photos in the woods? You can't have that snow in town yet. But theres some grouse up there too. There's a creek just before Mountain House. That's the picture in my house by the slider door. |

Those where a couple miles further up the hill, towards Sisters. Did stop at the mountain house and let her run that creek for a little bit, just left the camera in the truck that time :/ As far as snow here in town...HAHHAHAHA we got a real heavy frost the other day, grass was white, does that count?
I rember seeing that picture next to your slider, I told the wife it looked familar, just wasnt sure actually where it was...heh.
Seen some recent picture of your boys, they seem to really be growing :) Hows the old man doing? Is he able to get out in the yard to at least chase feathers still? |
