I know remington makes the 55 grain accelerator for the 30/30 if you are looking for factory loads.

A 110 gr bullet from a 30/30 wouldn't leave a lot of rabbit left, and would likely disintegrate a squirrel. Try the good ole .22 - it's an excellent small game rifle and easy on the budget too.

Even the 55 gr. accelerator would be too much for small game but could be used for varmint hunting.

If I was chasing after pelts. I would opt for the FMJ. Hornady has an 80gr and Sierra has a 90 gr in .243. I believe Speer use to make an 85gr, but I don't see it listed.

Ditto on what fuzzy said. FMJ has a tiny hole going in and a tiny hole going out with hardly any damage to the pelt.

The other theory on pelts is use a light fast explosive bullet that enters pinhole and blows up totally within, no exit wound. But if it does exit its gonna be nasty.
Often times one must remember that destruction on smaller animals is more from speed than other things. IE a heavy slow bullet will punch through. A light fast blows up. But a light bullet going slow may just poke through also.
Especially true shooting turkey with rifle. Speed, even with a FMJ, will destroy a lot of meat if not hit in that bobbing, constantly moving head....
