I was wondering what the chances are of buying some land in Alaska.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some related information?

I was hoping to find 25+ acres that I could get to without having to use an airplane.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Well Alaska is huge, but has very little private land (other than Native Corp). Here's a link to a website that might help you. Most of the properties are remote, but some can be reached by road.

Hmmm.....well thanks for the link.

I am a teacher and have summers off and I am trying to find some affordable way of spending those summers in alaska.

I guess buying a small plot of land isn't a cheap way of doing that.

landinalaska.com is another site.

You may have a hard time finding an affordable 25 acres. 5-10 is doable. You can get some great land that is accessible via boat if you're looking for a bigger tract of land. Teacher's don't make THAT MUCH 8-) up here!

i just saw some in tok $7,000 for 5 acres.glen allen is a cheap area.the kenai and anchorage area arent really part of alaska they are ruined cesspools and are a symbol of everything that is wrong with alaska.i met a guy that said i wanted to move to alaska but i moved to anchorage instead.
and teachers make a ton up here,i dont know what that guy is talking about,i worked with one that made 70,000 yr. before he took an early retirement.
