Can any NS shooters (Chester) tell me what requirements and procedures are for getting a booking on a govt range? I'd love to call and ask them myself but at the moment am at sea and can't. As soon as I get back my new BLR BETTER be in and I'd love to get out and play with it...I'd just hate to find out I need another form/permit and have to wait another couple weeks.

Just like NShunter said. Call DNR and tell them what calibre(s) you are taking and who you are going with and which range you would like to go to. They will book the time for you which gives you the right to transport the firearm and be present at the range at that time. Are you going to be sighting in a scope? If so, tell the DNR and they will book more time for you(if they are nice). It shouldn't be a problem this time of year! Which range are you going to?

Cool - that's easy.

I don't think I'll have a scope to sight in this year. From what I've seen of my hunting area so far it looks like I won't REALLY need one. And when I get one I want it to be a good one, which means of course $$$$. So that will be next season's hunting purchase.

I'll probably be using the Middle Musquodobit and Jeddore ranges the most. Jeddore is closer, and Musq is near the camp (where I spend every possible weekend from now until Dec anyway).

Hey Saskie, when do you get your draw results? Just curious how the moose tag turns out...

I haven't applied yet. I'm at sea and won't be back until May. Don't worry, if I get drawn I'll be shouting from the rooftops!!! You'll probably hear me all the way out there in CO. LOL.

All us Nova Scotians should hook up for a shoot sometime in the summer. It would be a good time, and we would get some practice in to boot.

It would be a great way to meet some fellow BGH members, get some tips, shoot some other weapons, etc.

Of course this will mean that we'll no longer be able to BS each other about what great shots we are...I better practice - LOL

At least now I have something to shoot with. Got an email from the woman and my BLR is in and waiting for me when I get back. SWEET!
