i have been hunting black tail for 23 years and i am allso a military man, i hunt tacticaly, if i was the hunted i would use cover and concealment to its advantage. that is exactly what black tail deer do,if the timber has good low cover ,folage and brush ect. there will be deer.
if you have timber with brush next to reprod you will find good deer trails.
you have to get off the roads to find the big ones, and the big one will for the most part be nocturnal , so be prepaired to deal with moving up wind and sent blocker couldnt hurt (walk n stalk) walk extreemly slow and smooth , couple steps , stop,look and listen. |
