i am planning a moose hunt in the next couple of years, and although just flipping through the back pages of any hunting magazine would give me plenty of possible guides, i think personal references are always better. any favorites? i am really considering canoe bay outfitters (jeremy davis) out of port alsworth. any knowledge of him?
thanks!! |

Check out my website at drhuntingadventures.com We have a great moose hunt in Alaska and the yukon. You can give me a call at (717)979-6045 or drop me a email through my website if you want any more details. All the outfitters that we represent have been hunted by us.
Thanks

| Several years Yukon dropped the THE from The Yukon-- it's now Yukon like California is not The Ca. |

Hey Widux...
Glad to hear you've got a nice hunt planned for Ontario....best of luck to you.
Yes, we've been busy here already....we were out a couple of weeks ago now. Mostly we were cutting some portages, cutting sweepers off the river(s) we want to run...setting up the wall tents etc. But, even then, we saw 2 small bull moose...but, oddly enough it was 30 degrees and we were pretty far in the bush as the time....too hot.
We head out with the entire family on Tuesday. Things get going here about mid Sept. as you know.
My wife and I went up the North Canol Rd. last weekend looking for caribou but it's still pretty early yet....we did see some fresh sign...they are there...but not in large numbers yet. There were some geese though and the Lake Trout fishing on Dragon lake was superb! Maybe wait for the Dempster Caribou hunt later on.
Anyway, again, best of luck on your hunt and have great time!! |

Sorry HighClimber20...didn't mean to highjack your thread !!
In terms of Outfitters in the Yukon there are many. As mentioned above the Earn Lake area is great.
Another very well respected Outfitter up here is Chris Widrig (Widrig Outfitters) and they have an incredible concession.
You could call the Yukon Outfitters Association at (867) 668-4118 to get details on any of the Outfitters.
hope this helps a little |
