CVC, I hope you draw again this year. Have you looked up your odds?

| That is a convenient site. I did look at the odds of the WY game and fish site and it is almost 98% for Area 52/2 |

CVC - Do you go on a guided hunt, public land, or do you have a connection out there?
Sounds like fun :thumbsup1: |

Unguided on BLM land. I went with two other guys last year. One guy had been there before and the other two had not hunted antelope before.
I paired up with one of the guys that hadn't been before and we just sort of figured it out. I had watched alot of antelope hunts on tv so I had an idea of what to do.
It was a blast and I hope I draw again. My goat isn't a "book" goat, but it sure was satisfying to hunt on public land without a guide, spot, stalk and take an antelope. Truly one of the best hunts of my life. |

The application fee is $238, $268 with preference point. You have to get the application in by 3/15, not postmarked, but received by that date.
A little gas money, a little food money and motel is all you need and it is a relatively inexpensive hunt. |

| Redrider, If all you want to do is to purchase a $30 PP for antelope, you can do that between June-September. It might be July-September. |

| we are planning a wyoming antelope hunt and are planning on going on our own. Could you recommend what area would be best to try to draw a tag for success in drawing and a successful hunt. I have never hunted in wyoming and just wanted some information. I have looked at the wyoming hunting guide. I was told that the north east or eastern part of the state is the best. Do you have any recommendations as to zones? Thanks. |

| Go to this site http://gf.state.wy.us/wildlife...../index.asp and look at the drawing odds for each area. Also, consider that some areas have limited public access. |

| Lot's of antelope in Wy. i've hunted 47 & 71. Both are near Casper & if you're planning to stay in a motel, better make your reservations as soon as you draw a tag. Antelope hunting is a lot of fun, be prepared for lot's of walking. |
