I just had surgery about 2 months ago. What kind of condition do you need to be to do mountain lion hunting. I'm going to Idaho for 3 weeks in the Boise area, and I'm looking to do some hunting and/or fishing depending on the conditions. Any ideas? Also is anybody knows a good outfitter let me know!
Thanks! |

Mountain lion hunting can be a very physcial game. You will spend many hours riding rough roads in a 4x4 pickup, on snow mobile, or atv. Then depending on where the dogs trail and tree your lion, you can be in for a pretty short or very long hike through rough country and possibly deep snow to get to the place where you can take your shot.
Idaho's amazingly beautiful country is mostly due to its rugged mountains, but if you are up to all of that and your choose to go on a mountain lion hunt, you are in for an amazing hunt. There is nothing like the music of the hounds on the trail of a lion. Your place in the team is as the shooter, but that makes you no less a part of the hunt, it makes you part of an effective hunting team, which is very rewarding.
As for outfitters, we represent two great lion hunting operations in Idaho, as well as a number of others in other states. They are passionate lion hunters, not just guys who do it for something to do after all the other big game seasons are closed. They have very high success hunts in beautiful country. If you would like to discuss details on them, just let me know. Take care. |
