Do we have any recurve and long bow 3D shooters on the forum?
Last Sunday I went on a compound shoot with my recurve.
That was quite the challenge as the majority of the target were well beyond 25 yds. I don't think I'll post my score but, I shot with a great group of guys and had some great fun doing it.
During the remainder of the year there will be about six great shoots thoughout the state that will be set up for traditional shooters. If your interested. Come and join us. |

| In PA we almost always post a stake for the traditional archers as well. No more than 25 yards max as per IBO regs |

There are some shoots set up with a closer flag for traditional but, that particular shoot wasn't set up for traditional shooters. It was quite the challenge. Several of the targets were well beyond 45 and as far as 60 yds. On the longer shots. My windage was dead on but, I had a tendency to shoot high.
There is a traditional only shoot coming up in a couple of weeks. I may take the long bow with aluminum arrows. Later on in the year is a wooden arrow only shoot. |
