I was wondering if anyone has seen the same results? Two in one hole and a flyer about 3/4'' off. I see this only with the 180 grain XLC BT's from Barnes. Loaded a nice load for my cousin in 300 WSM. Just wondering and also if anyone has tips to fix this slight mishap.

Thanks Reuben

I've been loading for the 300wsm.
I seem to get more consistent groups after the first firing on new cases and by dropping the charge by 1gr to 2gr from pressure signs.
I have not tried the Barnes. Shoot a Barnes, you get a flier. Rule of thumb.
Accubond 180gr & 200gr very good
Interbond 150gr & 165gr very good
TBBC 180gr very good
Hot Cor 150gr, 165gr, 180gr OK to not so good
This is through a 22" Browning Micro Hunter.
medium burning powders with magnum primers

My tip would be to try some different bullets. I've always had good luck with Nosler and Sierra bullets. 300 wsm is a good round. I've shot some sub 1/2" groups with one. Alliant powder RE19 worked the best for me, but Hodgdon 4831sc was good as well.

If different bullets don't help. check the beding. If the gun is bedded then make sure the barrel is totally relieved of any stress (Ie. touching stock) If that doesn't help try another scope.
