I was wondering if anyone was from around Beaver, Utah?

I was in Las Vegas last weekend to watch the nascar races and we stayed in Beaver on Sunday night. When we left we went and got gas and they had pictures of huge mule deer that were taken and still alive, I was wondering if anyone new how much non-res permits were there, I am from Nebraska and am getting tired of 150 class deer, I want a 190 class on my wall!!

So if anyone knows, please respond!

The above link is correct but I'm sure you're not really sure what to look for. Like any where else hunting in a general hunt area is not the place to look for a trophy buck. They exist but very difficult to find. That permit is $208 for archery, rifle and muzzleloader.

If you're serious about it then its going to take you a few years most likely to draw a premium tag. Its possible to draw the first year but usually you have to build up a few points. In Utah there are limited entry permits for $408. The premium limited entry tags which are the best tags are $508. You'll kill the buck of a lifetime if you draw one of those puppies.

Now I'm assuming you wanted a self-guided hunt. Just do a scouting trip or two during the year if you draw and you'll be fine. In these areas there are deer all over. If thats too much hassle just hire an outfitter and he'll get you on a big buck.

Your right about beaver. It has one of the most stable heards in Utah. I have hunted there for about ten years now and have seen bucks that anyone would be proud to shoot in the Paunsagaunt. If you are talking about the big nontypical buck it was killed by an archer last year and found by the fish and game later in the season. beaver is a great place to hunt with alot of country. what are you planning to hunt with? I love to bowhunt this area, I find it to be the best time of year to hunt the bigger bucks down there, anything else you need to know just ask!!!!

I was thinking of a rifle hunt,, but I have a bow and an in line muzzleloader, what are the rules for black powder there?

min. calibre is .45 not much on restrictions, I can tell you that by the muzzloader hunt that the deer are a little more jumpy and harder to hunt, if your not shy about hiking and getting off of the road youll find the big ones if your patient, my freind shot a great buck last year on the muzzloader hunt, only 24 wide but almost 30 tall and 5 inch bases. I just like to bowhunt down there but know people that rifle and muzzloader hunt and do great., you would want to scout a little if its possible.
