Hey Guys, just wondering if any of you have experience with Konus scopes.....I was at a gun show this weekend, and it seems to be a good scope. I was leary so I didn't buy, plus cheaper on web. Any help would be appreciated. Model was a KonusPro 3-10x44 w/ illuminated reticle.

Welcome to the site. It is an unknown brand to me. Seem's a company named "Tellar" is marketing them, might be ok and might not. The problem I'd have is there is no track record I'm aware of. There are a good many scopes in the same price range out there that may or may not be as good but at least we have an idea of what to expect. Indeed they may have a very superior scope but just not much name recognition yet, hard to tell. Another problem is that they don't seem to be marketing their own product, I wonder why? And why has Tellar chose to market what they call an "inexpensive" line of scopes? I would guess that it's totally a financial descission. If they import say 100,000 scope and make $10 on each, thats a lot of money! It probally wouldn't be hard to sell out 100,000 scopes. If something happens to it, where do you send it? Probally just return to the dealer for another. I'd shy away unless it was for a 22LR.

It should be avoided at all costs.

I bought a fixed power 4X32mm Konuspro and thought I made a wise purchase.

That is, until I was sighting-in my rifle before heading out to the stand on my out-of-state hog hunt. The elevation adjustment failed at the worst possible time, and I couldn't get it sighted in in time for that sit. I elected to make that sit a no-shoot on my way to the blind as I won't settle for "almost sighted in" when taking a brainshot on a hog.

Of course that was the one sit where a dozen shooter hogs showed-up including a 200+lb, piss and vinegar boar. I also missed the sit the following morning while trying to get sighted in. That morning another hunter spotted a 300+lb hog within range of the stand I had planned on using.

Buy cheap, buy twice. Cost me a lot more than I "saved".

Edit: I just read the Konus Company Profile. It reads "Konus Usa Corp's line of business is wholesales nondurable goods." LOL!
