Atomikall,I just looked on the site I mentioned,it's $15 for full membership. I clicked onto "Cartridge Master List" and found 30.06,it gives an interesting little history on the cartridge, and then lists 337 loads for it!
For example, the hottest load I found for a 180 gr. bullet was 2880 fps velocity,3316 ft. lbs. energy.
Of course knowledge of hand loading and common sence is required...

Welcome Taku.
I'm new here too, this is a great site, lots of good stuff and good people.
Yes I lived in Whitehorse for quite a few years, worked as a mechanic. I must say one of the most incredible places I ever lived, and the nicest summers I've seen anywhere in western Canada. I met some great hunters and outdoorsman there and did some great hunting and fishing.
It's hard to believe such a large unspoiled wilderness such as Yukon still exists, with only 33,000 other residents to share it with! :thumbsup1:

Getting back to the thread for a sec, these white moose are nothing more than genetic anomolies and the strain has no real need to be conserved. Same as piebald deer whose genes are inferior to those of normal deer and should be culled. Its a good thing these white moose aren't more common in the population because with the restrictions we already have on moose hunting, it'd be just that much harder to get a tag as the 'whites' would reduce the numbers of moose available when it comes to determining the moose population the subsequent number of tags for hunters.

Again mike thanks Ive already been on there a few times and thanks for the info on my calibre. To sawbills thread I agree whats the difference to me NOTHING its a moose the same thing as a brown moose just it didnt get the genes to make it brown, And what will they do when there is enough to make an open season on them. Knowing the natives around here a great deal Ill bet even when there is 500 of them theyll still be saying that there is something spiritual about them just like they always do but when it comes down to them feeding thier familys with one they will. I think its all a big thing to get press around thier native grounds and land. On another note name me one hunter that has seen one in hunting season cause Ive never heard about.
