| Have you taken a look at the Pentax Gameseekers? Quality optics and overall scope at a very reasonable price |

I do not have experience with NcStar; however I spent some time looking at their website. Their reflex-red-dot sights look remarkablely like early Hakko models. Hakko (Japanesse) makes scopes for third parties and has a decent reputation.
I couldn't figure out from the site where they were being made, since NcStar may have moved (or always was) manufacturing to China. Maybe just call them up and ask?
Pentax had a long history with Burris (manufactured in Colorado) and I believe still does with some of their optics. Based on the price point of the Gameseeker line, I suspect they are probably being made overseas though.... |

| The Gameseekers are made by Pentax in their own factory in China |

| I stuck a red dot 1x42mm on a 30-30 carbine for stalking pigs in southern Al. I kept dropping it and it kept on target. It was only around 30$ and where I was going to be hunting I wanted stuff that was going to be expendable if I broke something. If I was to do it over I would get a smaller one 42mm puts your head too high off the rifle for a quick shot. For the price I liked it. Sold it to a friend who is still down there |
