In corporate america the "big 5" refer to the 5 major accounting firms, of which one is Author Anderson (ex-auditor of enron). Although I doubt that is what you mean...

In hunting the big 5 usually refers to:
elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, moose, and bighorn.

Sometimes a "grand slam" refers to hunting the 4 varties of big horn sheep: bighorn, desert bighorn, stone, and dall....
