Hard work paid off big for Matt when I cut this 7 foot toms' track one afternoon January 2008. We started the day old track the next morning. I started early and made a 12 mile loop on my ATV to make sure the lion had not crossed out of the area. We started him, jumped him off his kill and he took us 2 miles to a cave. 2 Plotts and a Walker held him until we could get there. They have some scars but they earned the right to chew on the cat after the harvest. 15 hours from when we started we were back in town with Matts trophy tom. What a great hunt. |
