Last year was bad this year is worse around here. Not much of anything within reasonable driving distance from home. So I've gone back to training. Much rather have the boy's on planted birds than very few or none. Especially at this age.
Started working on backing a few days ago and they are doing good. When they were younger Bodie would back naturally but Squirt would false point a lot so Bodie quit. Squirt doesn't do that anymore so had to get Bodie going again, he's doing fine.
Bodie backing Squirt today:
Squirt has started everyhing slower than Bodie. Early on he seemed to figure that Bodie was just pointing out birds for him to flush and chase. But he's older now and quit false pointing and is backing pretty well!
