Gets my blood boiling just reading about your exploits. Dont know why, it is my very favorite thing to do in the outdoors. The WHOOP WHOOP is a very good way to get them to stop, I use it everytime I get one as close as I think he/she is going to come. It has worked on doubles, but more often not. Younger coyotes will stop, but I have had very few older coyotes stop after blasting one.

Another thing that you will learn from the videos, is to stay quiet & call for 5 minutes or so after shooting one. Others that were coming may continue to do so after hearing a shot, as long as they werent real close to you while you were blasing away.

That sounds like good sound advice to me and I'll be trying it . I have a skinning device that makes the job of skinning a coyote a pleasure . I made it out of a boat wench geared up to the wall in the barn so that the handle will turn and I attatch a pair of flat end vice grips to the pelt after it has been started skinning the hind legs out and the tail then hook the clamps on . The hard work is over I use this contraption for everything . Coyotes have to be the hardest thing I have ever skinned . This rig makes the skinning much easier . Just tighten up the wench and make a round of skinn ing around the pelt and the carcas then wnen it gets slack again then tightyn up again . Do this until the pelt is off .There is electric wenches to but a lot more expensive

You guys had some great advice, Now I'm HOOKED :D
2 weeks ago while on deer stand I had 2 coyotes come within 20 yds, would have taken a shot with the bow but didn't get an opening. It got me a little excited so decided to go ahead and get the package with the Hot Dog. I watched part of the DVD and went out Thanksgiving night and tried to sound like the video. Thinking I was sounding more like a band full of trumpets, I directed my attention to a deer that had came out. It was starting to get dark so I turned back around to gather my stufff and 20 yds away was a coyote sniffing his way to me. I let him have it and am ready to go again.
WOW that was Fun!

Glad to hear you had fun!!! I am going out this weekend for the first time this year. Got some snow now and by Saturday it will have been below zero for a couple days straight. Dogs get real hungry in weather that cold, and they are fun to watch come a runnin!!!!

Nice job red. :thumbsup1:
You just reminded me, when I was on stand monday with my wife I saw some movement about 100 yds out in the overgrown field and thought it was a coyote. I got into position and started lip squeeking. This almost blond colored red fox came strait into our set up. If it was a coyote I would have taken it but I didn't want to take a chance on spooking a buck for a fox. He came to about 20 yds and then changed direction....
