If guys are wondering about pigs on public land. There has been some talk on some other forums about people seeing sign up around Indian Valley along walker ridge road. You can also hunt pigs at lake Sonoma with a bow and sometimes with a shotgun. Another place to look, but gets hit pretty hard, is around New Idria.

I have poor success on public land for pigs. I have killed them on private land though. I do not have the time to put in for hogs on public land right now. you have to put in a lot of time on public land to catch when the hogs are moving through the areas. I don't deer hunt much anymore here in California. I mostly waterfowl hunt now, but I do some other hunting when I get a chance.

I have been a long time shooter but am thinking more and more about going hunting. I was wondering what I need to do and what would be a good place within 4 hours of Los Angeles.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
