I'm passing this on from a friend:
"I am planning a moose hunt in maine and this is my first long distance big game hunt other than colorado elk. I was wondering if anyone knew of a resort-like place to go which offers moose hunts. I plan on bringing my wife and kids so I want a place that offers some type of entertainment for them while I hunt. Of course it can't be a outfitter's camp because my kids are 3 and 5. Also does anyone know about shipping my trophy and meat home to Kansas? How much? Who is a trustworthy business that I can hire for this or could I do it myself? Any comments are appreciated" |

| Go to the 'Welcome to the State of Maine'website, a really good resource for planning any type of trip to Maine. On the same site you can also look up the Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife which has lots of useful information including, I believe, a list of registered Maine guides. GOOD LUCK!!! |
