my 8 pointer of 05

hotmoon,

here's a picture of the 8 pointer that my son and i had got last fall. Not much of a story behind it . Just the longest shot i ever took at a deer. About 300 yrds. Maybe just lucky , but it was good luck !!! It was a fine N.S buck !!!

Hi thenail

You know,, i am gonna have to disagree with u on the lucky shot u took ,, to me good long shot like this one would not be called a lucky shot in my book . actually i don't think there is any luck involved when hunting anything,, it's all preparation , determination, and field judgment ,, never been lucky while hunting specially in my early hunting years when weeks went by without even seeing a small cubor even a dead cub ,, where was luck back then to help me out ? !

good buck and awesome shot ! Thumbs up

Bowhunter , I think maybe your right about the luck because sometimes if it wern't for 2 kinds of luck I'd have none>>> good and bad .I always said the success to hunting and fishing is in the right place at the right time .

Two bears snared on the same day a couple years ago. My bear on the right was caught only by TWO TOES!! i was amazed he didnt pull them off and brake loose. My brother in law on the left went in to check his snare while i waited in the truck when all of a sudden he came back running for the truck screaming"THERES SOMETHING IN THERE!" LOL, I said man what are you scared of! you got a loaded 12 gauge in your hands! I thought for sure we were going to cause an accident while driving in town with two bears on the roof.
