your favorite, sporting related fund-raising game?.....

I am assuming that most folks, viewing these forums have been to different Banquets for the Rocky Mountain Elk Fndn, WTF, DU, QU and Friends of NRA committees. With that assumption, I would ask, what is the most interesting, neat and fun types of games that you have witnessed or participated in, to help raise funds?
I ask because I am chairman of a FONRA event in Southern Indiana, of which has had some very successful banquets in the past, and I am looking for some new, fresh ideas.
Please lay them on me, if you would.
I appreciate the help!

Thanks much!!

I have an interest in archery shoots that donate a portion of the proceeds to an organization that works toward preserving the institution of hunting and/or game habitat.

Welcome to the site.

I have to think shooting event's also. But not shooting target's for score and keeping match rifles in a class of their own. Shooting egg's seem's popular but the egg shooter's already support you and the other guy's don't think they can compete. Step up to baloons or clay pigeon's or even steel plates.
People like to see something happen when the bullet hit's a target, give them that. The match shooter's and egg shooter's probally already support you, you need to draw in the cardboard box shooter's and kids.

Maybe also put on an egg shoot for anyone as eggs explode well when hit. Come to think of it, a vegtable shoot. Orange's, apples, pear's and ya gotta have a watermelon! All kinds of fruit and you won't have to worry about clean-up when done, birds will take care of it for you!

Ok someone needs to straighten this thread out! neener!

Around here cowboy shoots are very popular. Haven't participated myself, but they look like fun.

Also high on our list are golf ball shoots and bowling pin shoots.

The Ace, are these the type of games you had in mind?

I participated in our CO's games held during a convention in our district. We set up the traditional moose survey where we substituted the turbo beaver for the old spin around the baseball bat trick and run to a finish line after picking up some objects along the way.
We also had a fish planting competition where the guys had to wear chest waders, haul water in two pails from one tank to fill another tank. Only problem was the waders were way oversize and had no belt or braces. Never laughed so hard in all my life.
