you can only post 9 options, read the instructions,if your favorite is not in the list please post it in your reply, very few people would choose the calibers you listed for hunting all of north Americas big game so I listed 9 of the calibers that they would.
NONYA, shut up! Both the 243 and 308 are more popular than a lot of the rounds you listed. The 30-30 has probably taken more deer and mule deer than any other round. what it really comes down to is if it isn't a super mag and if you don't like it then no one should use it or talk about it. It's perfectly obvious that that is what you are doing because every time someone says they like a round that is not on your list you start in on them. I'm sick of your BS, it is clear that you don't know what you are talking about and you are just playing more of your stupid games, and don't even say you don't play games because you played them on this site not too long ago.
CO you should really think before you speak,or type, this is a poll of calibers for all around use in NA are you saying the 243 and 308 are good alla round NA calibers?I dont know anyone who would use these calibers for elk or moose maybe you do?I dont know why you insist on insulting people who do not agree with you,do you?
Actually the 243 and the 308 are very popular. I use them myself.
I'll take a short action cartridge any day of the week over one of the mags.
I hunt with 4 short rounds.
300wsm - short no belt
270wsm - short no belt
308win - short no belt
243win - short no belt
30-06 - long no belt
These are all I use. Nothing else. These are the choices I came up with after many years of trial and error. They all work very well indeed.
From my experience. Most of the rounds on your list aren't the most common rounds used in the field.
We have a hunter up here that uses a 243win with 100grs. on elk every year. Shoots them right behind the ear.
You should check yourself before sounding off to some of the others on the forum, whom obviously, have a great amount of experience. I'm beginning to question yours. You must be 90 or 95 year of age to have the amount of experience your claiming.
Chill out, This is a big game forum. Not nonya's forum. You keep this up and nobody will play with you anymore. I know I won't.
Oh no u wont play anymore?...can you hear my heart breaking?LOL i love your storys,a guy that shoots his elk right behind the ear every year, must hunt elk in a small pen.If those cartdidges are so popular why has only one person mentioned them in thier post? And what exsperience am I claiming? All I wanted was a general opinion of the cartdridges I listed and others that would work for all the big game in NA,most of us dont shoot our elk behind the ear every year so we use somthing larger than a 243.LOL you peons make me laugh!
Sorry to inject but I know many elk hunters and anyone who claims to shoot thier elk behind the ear every year with a .243 is FOS.What happened to all the preaching about shot placement,is behind the ear the new vital zone?
You're always trying to make everybody think you're this genius hunter that knows way more than anyone else. Like I said, what it all comes down to is if its not a 7mm Mag, 300 Mag or 338 then you don't like it and if anyone posts another caliber that they prefer using you get mad at them. It looks to me like all your knowledge of guns and cartridges is from articles and charts and every time anyone likes a round you don't like a 243 or a 25-06 or a 308 you get pissed and say they're wrong and they won't work and no one uses them and you do this to everybody.
So what does your rifle cleaning kit look like? Is it a mess of bore brushes, different solvents and oils? Here may be the answer for you. I’m not going to recommend on how to clean your rifle or shotgun since you should already know that but suggest a way for you to keep all your supplies organized and where you can find them without getting four or five different boxes out to get everything together. And if you are like me and have a half dozen different calibers and...
