Just got my stock and bipod back from my buddys shop where he powder coated it for me,I had him do it in a real subtle prarie type cammo pattern that works well anywhere I hunt. The first pic is a closeup of the engraving done in the Remington Custom shop and the second is a full pic with some of my "pets"This is my favorite hunting rifle it is a 7mm Rem mag in the 700 bdl ss Dm model ordered from the Remington custom division and I have had it for 3 years now.Share some pics of your favorites,I know you all have one!! Nice gun. I can't tell for sure, but it appears to have some etching work on the bolt carrier. Was this done by remington or some one else?

I had an awc m91bdr for awhile that looked similar:

It had a texturized build up on the stock and a light sand/green camo pattern.

yes it was I had the Rem shop engrave the reciever,on the opposite side the Remington logo is engraved in a Stylized script across the reciever.Any future Rems i buy will also come from thier custom shop, you have to wait a while but the quality and fit of the rifle isoutstanding and well above the Rems you see at the big sporting goods stores. My father had them build a .416 Rem for him before our trip to Zambia and that rifle sold me on that route. The custom shop is the only way to go if you want real quality from Remington these days. Hmmm, interesting. Thanks for the info. I've never seen one of these custom shop guns, but I'll have to watch for one, the scroll work looks good. Do you hand load? What kind of groups do you get from a steady bench rest with factory loads at 100 yards?

I hand load everything I shoot from this rifle,my best groups have come from 160 gr nosler Accubonds and 4350 powder.I have shot (in a metal benchrest) 1/2" 3 round groups at 100 yards and 1" groups at 200,these are my best and not the norm. The rifle shoots better than I will ever be able to so i have no excuses in the field, thats the way i like to keep it. my iron

Here's my main iron, i have others. But these i use the most.. the first pic is my " budget yote hammer" it's a7400 in 308 with a bushnell 4-12X, harris bi pod.

The second pic is my SKS with a butler creek folding stock and my 870 12ga police magnum, it came from the remington military/law enforcement div. with pistol grip and folding stock. The action is also beefed up (designed for lots of cycling, unloading and loading before a shift type thing).

The third pic is my "general hunting/bush bashing" rifle. It's Parker -Hale Super safari in 308 Norma. I installed a synthetic stock on the action because the wood was getting a bit beat.

I recently Purchased a Remington Model 760 Gamemaster 270win, Scoped with a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8x36mm And I can shoot 1/2 inch groups at 100yds easily off the tail gate of my old truck...I shot a model 7600 and just didn't like it as much as the older model which it replaced...I have taken Moose, deer, wolves and varmints with it and I am looking forward to Finding an elk to add to the roster. As soon as I figure out how to get a picture on here I will.

Nice setup!

I've always believed that Remington's 7400 autoloader and 7600 pump were under-appreciated / valued.

I have a new 30-06 autoloader that shoots sub-MOA as well (after a few custom upgrades to smooth the action, float the barrel, and 2 1/2 lb trigger).

Good luck with your hunt this fall.

Steve

P.S. Tip: The 7400 and 7600 models all shoot better with the forend stock's screw loosen to only finger tight.

Thanks, I like my 7400. For the price i think it's not bad. I wish they had a better gas system and more calibre selection though.

Remington has just released an upgraded version of the 7400 semi-auto (in the same calibers) and they claim the gas operated recoil system has been enhanced. I believe the model number is 750.
